Korrect Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning, Inc. was founded in Dayton, Ohio in September 1950 as a family company grounded in Christian values. The name was spelled with a K on purpose: to stand out, and to mean something. For Ivan and Edwin, Korrect’s name represented a standard that we uphold seventy-five years later.
We’re a fourth-generation family business. That means the standards set by the founders were passed down through the family, reinforced across every leadership transition, and held firm against every market pressure that pushed competitors toward shortcuts, upsells, and surge pricing. We’ve watched private equity firms buy up many of the local names Dayton once trusted. We’ve chosen a different path.
Today, Korrect employs more than 60 licensed field technicians serving homeowners and businesses within approximately 20 to 25 miles of downtown Dayton. Our technicians are NATE-certified, not commission-based, and trained to diagnose accurately rather than recommend broadly. We serve residential and commercial customers across plumbing, HVAC, drain solutions, water treatment, and bathroom remodeling.
Being local isn’t a tagline for us. It means we know the homes, the water conditions, the sewer systems, and the seasonal demands specific to this region. It means we’re accountable to this community long after the invoice is paid. Our reputation was built here, one honest job at a time, and we protect it the same way.
That’s what 75 years of doing this work the right way looks like. That accountability doesn’t expire. When a Korrect technician finishes a job, the work is backed by the same name and the same family that has been serving this community for 75 years. We aren’t a franchise. We aren’t a portfolio company. We’re a local business that lives and works here, and we’ll be here long after the invoice is paid. That’s the Korrect standard, and protecting it’s the responsibility of every person on our team. There’s a generational knowledge of Korrect in this community that can’t be manufactured or purchased. Homeowners who called us twenty years ago refer their children to us. Businesses that hired us for a single commercial job have kept us as their plumbing and HVAC partner ever since. That’s the kind of trust that’s built one honest interaction at a time, across 75 years of showing up and doing the work right.

As a Carrier Authorized Dealer, Korrect has direct access to Carrier's full line of heating and cooling equipment, one of the most trusted names in the HVAC industry worldwide. That authorization isn’t given to every company that calls themselves an HVAC contractor. It requires demonstrated technical competence, ongoing training, a commitment to customer satisfaction, and the infrastructure to properly install and service Carrier systems.
For Dayton homeowners and businesses, the Carrier Authorized Dealer designation means the equipment we install is backed by the full Carrier warranty and serviced by technicians trained to Carrier's standards. It also means access to financing options through Carrier's programs for homeowners who qualify.
In 2018, Korrect received the Carrier President's Award, one of the highest honors Carrier bestows on its dealer network. It reflects not just technical capability, but the overall customer experience: showing up on time, completing work correctly, and leaving customers with confidence that their investment was handled by professionals who know what they’re doing. That authorization matters for Dayton homeowners in practical terms. It means the warranty on a Carrier system installed by Korrect is backed fully and without gaps, because the installation was performed by a dealer that Carrier has vetted and trained. It means if something goes wrong with the equipment, the process for warranty service is straightforward rather than disputed. It means the technicians who installed your system understand it at a level that non-authorized dealers simply can’t match. For homeowners making a significant investment in a heating or cooling system, the distinction between an authorized Carrier dealer and a company that merely sells Carrier equipment is real, and it matters for the long-term performance and protection of that investment. Carrier's authorization also requires ongoing compliance, and dealers are reviewed against performance standards and customer satisfaction metrics. Korrect has maintained that authorization continuously and earned the 2018 President's Award, which isn’t given to every authorized dealer. It’s reserved for those who perform at the top of the Carrier dealer network in terms of customer experience, technical execution, and business standards. That distinction reflects how seriously Korrect takes the relationship with both Carrier and with the homeowners who trust us to install their equipment.

Every Korrect technician is fully licensed and insured in the state of Ohio. Our HVAC technicians are NATE-certified, which means they’ve passed rigorous industry examinations and demonstrated competency in heating and cooling system installation, service, and diagnostics. NATE certification is the HVAC industry's most recognized professional credential, and it matters because certified technicians make fewer mistakes, solve problems faster, and install systems correctly the first time.
As a Carrier Authorized Dealer, Korrect has access to Carrier's full product line and technical resources. We’re also affiliated with leading industry organizations that hold our team to current code standards, safety practices, and technical best practices across both plumbing and HVAC disciplines.
These credentials aren’t framed on a wall. They’re the foundation of how we work every day, in your home, on your equipment, and behind every recommendation we make. That matters for homeowners in a straightforward way: the person working in your home has passed the examinations, holds the credentials, and carries the insurance coverage required to do this work professionally and to code. Many contractors operate without full licensure or with technicians who aren’t properly credentialed. Korrect doesn’t. NATE certification, in particular, is the benchmark for HVAC technical competence. A NATE-certified technician has demonstrated knowledge across system diagnostics, installation standards, and efficiency optimization through independent examination, not just company training. That means fewer mistakes, faster and more accurate diagnoses, and installations that are done correctly the first time. Our affiliations with industry organizations keep our team current with code updates, safety standards, and technical advances. We invest in ongoing education for our technicians because the standard we hold isn’t static, and staying at the front of this industry requires continued commitment. These aren’t credentials we mention to impress customers. They’re the infrastructure that makes the work reliable. For homeowners, this matters in a simple way: the person working in your home has demonstrated competency through independent credentialing, not just internal company training. There’s a significant difference between a technician who passed industry examinations and one who simply completed an employer's onboarding course. Korrect invests in the credentials because they reflect the standard of work we’re committed to delivering, every time, in every home.
